If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.

Nexium 24HR is prescribed in combination with a low dose of a drug to treat and ulcer in the same day. Take Nexium 24HR exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet. Do not take more than once every 2 weeks. If you cannot swallow the pill whole, you should not take the medicine. Before taking the Nexium 24HR your doctor should be informed about all the medicines you are taking including prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. In case of accidental overdose, contact your doctor and consult your doctor. The maximum dosage of Nexium 24HR is 20 mg per day.
Nexium 24HR is not intended for use by women. Do not use Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. It is not known whether Nexium 24HR is excreted in breastmilk if you are breastfeeding.
Before taking Nexium 24HR tell your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant. It may cause serious stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or weakness. You should not take this medicine if you have not been taking any medicine to treat your symptoms. You may need to take Nexium 24HR for as long as your doctor has said you have not been taking any medicine to treat your symptoms. Do not stop taking this medicine without your doctor's approval. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. You may need a repeat dose.
To reduce the chances for serious side effects, including tissue injury anditional pain, the use of medicines like Nexium 24HR should be used only for short term use (e.g. up to 14 days) only.
